App beating Michigan was great. It was magical.
With that said, I don't like our new fans.
Most of them aren't saying "wow, App is so good they beat Michigan!" They are saying "wow, Michigan, you suck. You lost to App!"
See the difference?
So you can see my dismay having a close friend as a Michigan fan. She has been absolutely abused recently by App "fans." Before Saturday, the people at work snickered about App playing Michigan. It was more of a "aww, that's cute, whatever." There are three true App fans in that office, and none of them responded to those stabs.
After Saturday, all those people suddenly jumped on the Appwagon for all the wrong reasons. They want to be attached to the glory that is a major sports upset. They want to bring Michigan down. But by rubbing it in they are degrading my school. They are making true fans look bad.
Those same three App fans aren't being obnoxious. They only rubbed it in to the people who were obnoxious before Saturday. I'll be glad when all the attention dies down and the people who pull for a good football team can continue to pull for that team without being attached to the brats that are riding my school's coat tails.

Missing camera
I hadn't been able to find my little P&S camera since the rafting trip. I tore up my closets and car looking for it. I even thought that maybe it was permanently lost/stolen, since I usually keep it in my purse.
But as it goes with lost keys, or shoes, or even cameras, the more you worry about not finding it, the more hidden it becomes. So I stopped looking.
Today I opened my laptop bag at work and there it was.
Isn't it funny how those things work?
